Payments glossary

What is a payment facilitator (PayFac)?

A payment facilitator is a company registered with the card networks to onboard sub-merchants under its own master merchant account and handle their funds flow.

Becoming a PayFac involves card-network registration, sponsorship by an acquiring bank, underwriting responsibility and significant compliance obligations.

How it works in Allidian

Allidian is not a payment facilitator. Each business has its own account with the provider, and we never receive or hold merchants' payment proceeds.

The future of payments is connected.
