Can Allidian handle free trials and plan changes?

Yes, when the payment provider your account is matched with supports them. You set trial length and plan changes, and the provider runs the recurring charges.

How does my app know a subscription changed?

Subscribe a webhook endpoint to subscription and invoice events. Every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and retried with backoff until your server acknowledges it.

Is this the same as your own SaaS billing?

No. The subscriptions you sell to your customers are processed on your provider account. Allidian's own plan for you is billed separately.
