What is 3D Secure?
3D Secure (3DS) is an extra authentication step, such as a bank app approval or one-time code, that card issuers can require to confirm the cardholder is making the payment.
It reduces fraud and is required for many payments in Europe under Strong Customer Authentication rules. A payment awaiting 3DS is in a 'requires action' state until the customer completes it.
How it works in Allidian
Allidian checkout handles 3D Secure through your provider's components and keeps the payment in a requires-action state until it is completed or fails.
